PLEASE NOTE EXTENDED DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS
Shared Assets is looking for a new Head of Research to help us build a compelling evidence base to create change in our land system.
We have always had a strong research element to our work, and research plays a crucial role for us, both in terms of building a compelling evidence base, and sitting at the commercial heart of the organisation. The Head of Research role involves business development: winning work and research tenders; organisational development: building a team, and strategic development: shaping and guiding our research strategy to have the greatest impact.
You are a pragmatic idealist who shares our values and wants to work towards social and environmental justice. You have a strong grounding in mixed-methods qualitative and quantitative research and practice, and may have worked within commercial research consultancy, relishing the challenge of answering big questions with limited budgets and time. You’ll be as comfortable designing a robust quantitative survey or running a roundtable or focus group.
You may or may not have an academic track record, but you should be comfortable engaging with and collaborating with our academic partners, as well as land-based practitioners and policy colleagues in NGOs and government. You may not be from the environmental sector; we would welcome people able to bring different and diverse views and experiences into this role.
Please see the application pack below for more information and details on how to apply. Do feel free to get in touch with kate [at] sharedassets.org.uk if you’d like to discuss the role in advance of applying.
