Lambeth Cooperative Parks, London

Shared Assets were commissioned by Lambeth Council and Friends of Larkhall Park to explore the potential for the Friends to take on the management of the park. The consultation found that whilst the Friends did not have the capacity to undertake this work at the time they did have wider ambitions for the area.

We worked with them to produce a Development and Action Plan, to support them in building their capacity, a Larkhall Park Business Model, to explore what community-led management of the park could look like in financial terms, and a Vision for a Community Anchor Organisation for Larkhall, setting out an ambitious vision for what a more complete community control of the park and other assets might achieve and entail.
