As part of our work on the Community Ownership and Management of Assets programme, we worked with Herefordshire Wildlife Trust and New Leaf Herefordshire. Queenswood Country Park is the only country park in Herefordshire and a really significant public asset for the county. As well as the large and beautiful Bodenham Lake, it includes an important arboretum. We helped HWT and New Leaf access the legal advice they needed to create a new organisation to take a long lease on the assets and supported them in thinking about the governance of and community involvement in the new organisation.
